~Jack is 16 months old~
We had a fun filled week of Tot School through mostly play and a bit of structured learning time in our home this past week. We started our week with a family day trip to a park a couple hours away. We all had lots of fun on our day trip. Jack experienced his first time on the Merry-Go-Round and a "train", enjoyed looking at lots of different animals such as wolves, bears, snakes, fish, farm animals, raccoons, eagles and lots more wildlife! He also had fun watching his daddy, sister and brother "mine for gems".

I captured this hilarious face while Jack was eating some snacks and watching the rest of the family "gem mine". It is sooooo funny I had to share it!!

My two oldest participated in Open Ended Art again this week and Jack joined in a modified version of this too. I made colored salt and he enjoyed painting a picture with it. He actually used the paintbrush alot of the time instead of just his fingers and painted for about 20 minutes. Here's what he created:

He finished his painting much earlier than his sister and brother. While he was waiting on them to finish he got some books and sat down on the floor right beside them and read for a long time. I was impressed and proud of my little guy:-). He has (finally) taken to books the last month--reading them on his own and bringing them to us off and on all day to read to him--I LOVE it!!

That wraps up my Tot School post for this week. We have been so busy that Tot School kind of got put on the back burner this week. I hope to get back into it full speed next week and do a little more learning fun with Jack instead of so much play. We've had a very fun week though and enjoyed spending lots of time together as a family and that's what matters most:-)!!

ReplyDeleteI know you've already done this once, so you don't have to claim it, but I wanted to let you know that I listed you as one of my Lovely Blogs to read! You always give me such inspiration for getting my kids into the kitchen and cooking with me.
